On 2-4 August 2021, ProTrain ( www.protrainedu.org) hosted a team of evaluators Dr. Glen Mort, Vice President of Accreditation from the prestigious Middle States Association Commission of Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS), a national accreditation body. The purpose of this 3-day virtual visit was to perform a total assessment of ProTrain’s business operations, training development and delivery, program content, and student support as a virtual vocational-technical school. Dr. Glen Mort, Middle States Vice President chaired a 5-person peer review team that reviewed and included verification of all supporting documentation, as well as extensive interviews with representatives from ProTrain’s senior leadership, staff, faculty, students, and multiple stakeholders. MSA-CESS reviews and interviews focused on the 12 Reflection Standards of Quality the 12 programs ProTrain put forward for accreditation review.
ProTrain is honored to announce that Dr. Mort and the MSA-CESS assessment team after the 3-day virtual evaluation announced that they are recommending ProTrain for a full 10-year institutional accreditation. ProTrain’s virtual assessment visit and accreditation recommendation result from a yearlong self-study process involving staff, faculty, students, and ProTrain’s collaboration with numerous stakeholders representing students, employers, and national partnerships certification organizations (i.e., CompTIA, AMCA, NHA, HRCI). Being recommended for accreditation is the first of a multi-step process of checks and balances that will take place over the next 60 days, culminating with ProTrain being presented before the Middle States Association Commission on Secondary Schools in early October 2021.
