It’s easy to think of career training as being rigid and inflexible. Perhaps that’s because we have become so used to the idea of multi-year degree programs that are completed on a predetermined schedule students have no control over. Here at ProTrain, however, we do things differently. You can see it in any of our course categories, including medical administration.
The role of Medical Administrative Assistant is critically important to modern healthcare. In fact, the career is one of the fastest growing throughout the entire healthcare industry. The industry needs trained professionals competent in both medical office administration and modern technology. Does that sound like you?
Providing Critical Day-to-Day Support
As a medical administrative assistant, you provide day-to-day support to a family practice, hospital, chiropractic clinic, or other medical office. Your job requires you to be incredibly flexible as you manage the many responsibilities that come with the modern office environment. If flexibility is built into your job, why shouldn’t your educational opportunities be equally flexible?
Your job is critical for your employer. Likewise, the training you receive is critical to your success. We believe you owe it to yourself and your family to get the training you need to be the best you can be. But we also believe that training should be flexible. It should be easily managed within the realm of all your responsibilities.
How We Make It Flexible
We make professional training flexible by offering a long list of online certification programs. In terms of certifications, they are an alternative to traditional degree programs. What makes them different is their focus.
ProTrain’s Medical Administrative Assistant program places heavy emphasis on:
- The basics of human biology and physiology
- Modern medical terminology and records
- Preparing and maintaining medical records
- Composing and preparing medical correspondence
- Managing medical practice financial transactions
- Completing basic medical insurance forms
The amount of specialized knowledge required by the field dictates that it doesn’t make much sense to spend several years learning information that isn’t relevant to medical administration. It is far better to take certification programs that are directly related to your career choice.
Complete Training on Your Schedule
Most of the courses ProTrain offers are online courses built around the self-paced model. This is the key to flexible learning. When you enroll in our Medical Administrative Assistant program, you will have 12 months to complete 265 hours of coursework. All coursework is accessed online via your computer. Best of all, you set your own schedule.
Some of our students complete their coursework in the evenings. They come home from work, spend time with their families, and then study when everyone else has settled down for the night. We also have students who prefer to do their coursework at the weekends.
This is what flexibility is all about. As a ProTrain student, you study when you have the time available to dedicate to it. You determine how quickly or slowly you work. You also determine the pace at which you complete the course. We are here to support you throughout the entire journey.
Prepared to Take the Exam
Upon completing the course, you will be prepared to take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Medical Administrative Assistant exam. Pass that exam and you will earn your certification.
