Course Overview

CompTIA A+ exam is a globally recognized industry standard for establishing an IT career. CompTIA A+ Core Series 220-1001 exam and 220-1002 exam cover expanded content on growing IT support role including expanded baseline security topics. The certification provides a different approach to define competency in operational procedures including basic disaster prevention, recovery, and scripting basics and a greater dependency on networking and device connectivity.

This course is intended for entry-level computer support professionals with a basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems who wish to increase their knowledge and understanding of networking concepts and acquire the required skills to prepare for a career in network support or administration, or who wish to prepare for the CompTIA Network+ certification (Exam N10-007).

ICND1 is an exam associated with the Cisco CCENT exam and is a first step to ultimately achieving the CCNA Routing and Switching Certification. Skills developed assist the student in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting small networks as well as working with Cisco routers and switches.

ICND2 will teach students to be proficient with network switching and routing concepts including spanning tree protocol, VLAN trunking, dynamic routing protcols and IPv4 and IPv6 troubleshooting. Become proficient with various WAN technologies and encapsulation protocols as well as various aspects of network device management and security.

This course includes FREE access for 12 months to a cloud based lab platform to assist students develop the practical information technology (IT) skills necessary to succeed in high in demand IT jobs.  This cloud based lab solution uses real equipment that enables our students to execute each practical task in a safe environment that is accessible from anywhere without needing to buy their own hardware or risk damage to their own system.

Along with providing the necessary hardware in a virtual environment, students gain access to high quality practical exercises that cover many of the exam topics they will encounter on their certifying exams.

This course prepares students to take the CompTIA A+ 220-1001 & 220-1002, N10-007: Network+, and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) 100-105 and 200-105 certification exams.
